During the early days of Offshore Oil & Gas, E&P, Drass was one of the few pioneering companies designing and building diving systems for the North Sea market. At that time, Italian customs restrictions prevented Drass from sending cases of Tuscan red wines, the worldwide-recognized and most famous brand of its region, as a traditional and sincere token of appreciation. Drass, company known for its ingenuity, overcame the hindrance by hiding few cases of wine inside the chambers. This developed into a tradition and the client's technicians could always expect to receive what became known as the "Red Drass" gift from their Tuscan colleagues.
